Guide to Using the URI Master Gardener Education Hour Form

We need to track educational time for continued certification as a URI Master Gardener. You need at least 16 hours per year. In order to simplify the analysis of the information, we are asking you to use the class codes listed below.

Please DO NOT record fractions of hours, instead, round up. For example, instead of 1.5 hours put 2 hours. If you do not know where your educational time belongs, contact Rosanne Sherry.

Educational hours DO NOT count as volunteer time. Please DO NOT lump them together. Volunteer hours are recorded on a separate form.

Class Codes

ADV	advanced trainings sponsored by MGA
CMG	attendance at core Master Gardener training class
MGC	attendance at any National or Regional Master Gardener conference
LEC	attend any lecture given buy a Master Gardener in a venue other than the above
ORI	any volunteer orientation training session
Attend and document any education programs by these approved organizations:
BLI	Blithewold Arboretum RIA - RI Audubon Society (plant related programs only)
RIOS	RI Orchid society RIRS - RI Rose Society
TSP	Tree Steward Program WPS - RI Wild plant Society
OTH	other program as approved by MG Coordinator
